2012 The Year of Simplification & Organization

My motto this year is Simplification and Organization. Along with that come changes!!! So many in fact your head will be spinning by the end of January!!! My goal is to have the website www.jstambaugh.net totally revamped and updated by the end of the month and the blog kept up to date at least once a week on what I am up to.

I am adding Design to my specialty of Art & Photography. I will be working on a multitude of different things throughout the year, including but not limited to quilted wall hangings based on my photography and art, handmade stuffed animals. Clothing design and who knows what else I have up my sleeve.

I will be opening an Etsy store sometime in the near future so keep an eye on that and also a regular newsletter. If you are interested in coupons and receiving all the latest information before it is posted sign up to receive it. I am also going to be doing some scrappy things throughout the year – wait and see what I can do when I put my mind to it.

Jenn’s Fine Art Website Updates

The website has a new layout and a new photo. One of my own. It was one I took when working on “The Road To…” series… Still tweaking the general layout and placement of things. Hoping to have it all updated & completed by the end of January. Let me know what you all think so far. Also, any other thoughts would be great. What would you like to see that isn’t there and what do you not want to see that is there?

More updates on the photography and the art coming soooooon! PROMISE! Lot’s has been going on. Hence the no updates! Been busy.

Painting Update

I have been working on this painting for over a week now. The steps and banister have been painted and repainted more than once, however I now feel as if I have the base colors that I need to move onto the next steps. The paint that was laid today will be dry tomorrow and I will finish up another layer on the steps and move on to the roof of the church.

New Painting in the Works

I finished sketching the layout for a new oil painting. It is based off of a photo I took of an old run down church in the far northern part of PA. Today I laid the wash for the sky and for the greenery. It will take two days for it to dry enough so as I can begin to work on the next layer.

In the meantime, I am going to begin one or two smaller oil pastel paintings of some flowers whereas I took the photos in the past.

Keep coming back as I will update regularly and will add some pictures.

Also, be alert to the website being updated. It is under construction so check back to it regularly.

Welcome one and all! If you want to keep up with the latest art works, what I am doing in my studio, what I am doing in the public and where I can be found out and about – this is the place to find me. As I work on new work or even just have ideas, I will keep it up to date here.

I am a photographer and 2-Dimensional Artist. I work with a number of media and medium – oils, acrylics, watercolor, marker, pen, pencil, make up, colored pencil, pastels and oil pastels. I am sure I missed a few but those are the big ones. I have done some 3-Dimensional work also. I will add a little something about it later.
